160 religious institutions of varying beliefs in
Haywood County. In addition, the county is home to
Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center, the
headquarters of the United Methodist Church of the
Southeast, the World Methodist Foundation and
Foundations for Evangelism. Open to all, Lake Junaluska hosts thousands of people annually for
retreats, conferences and camps.
