Health Care Services
 The health needs of
Haywood County residents are addressed through an
accredited 194-bed health care facility, more than
25 private medical practices and an active county
health department.
 Haywood Regional Medical Center offers a
186,000-square-foot campus that includes the acute
care hospital including a recently expanded
Emergency department, Urgent Care Center, Home Care
Center and a 54,000-square-foot Health & Fitness
Center. HRMC was awarded
the 2008 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical
Excellence by Health Grades.
 Residents have access to top quality medical care
through the many health care professionals in
private practice. Services offered through private
practice range from traditional services, such as
pediatrics and family practice, to complementary
forms of treatment, such as acupuncture.
 The Haywood County Health Department offers a
variety of programs to prevent illness through
preventative medicine, education, early diagnosis
and a safe, healthy environment.
A new health care facility, the Haywood Health
Clinic offers health care services as well as at
home consultation to area residents unable to
travel.
